Terms & Conditions

Rental period

The rental is considered a period of 24 hours. Nice Rent allows a 3-hour tolerance between the pickup and the drop off. After this period, an extra day will be charged. Rentals for periods inferior to 3 days are subject to confirmation.

Age Requirements:

Minimum 21 years of age with 1 year experience.
Between 21 & 23 an extra fee of 25.00 euros will be charged. (per rental)
No age limit. if the client has a valid driving license, we will accept..

International driving license:

If your driving license is written in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic or any other language, an International license will be required.

Additional driver

Additional driver = 15.00 euros per rental (3rd driver is free)

Payment

A credit card in the driver’s name will be required as a deposit. We do not accept prepaid, virtual or charge cards. We accept debit cards (Visa and Mastercard).

Insurance

All vehicles are insured with an excess depending on the group:

If you want to be exempt from the excess, you can take out additional insurance (SCDW). The amount below is per day of rental:

Driving that is considered negligent, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, will cancel all insurance, and the customer will be held responsible for all damage caused to our vehicle as well as to the vehicle.

Mileage

The rental includes unlimited mileage.

Child seats

Booster and baby seats are available from 20.00 euros per rental.

GPS – Navigation system

Available for 5.00 euros per day to a maximum of 50.00 euros per rental.

Fuel

Our vehicles are delivered certified and must be returned in the same condition. If not, Nice Rent may charge a fee of 15.00 euros for this.

Airport tax

Serviços no Aeroporto tem um custo de 10.00 euros por serviço.

Out of hours

Services between 20.00 pm and 8.00 am will be charged extra 25.00 euros per service.

Border Spain

Our vehicles can only be driven in Portugal and Spain. Crossing the border to Spain will cost an extra 30.00 euros per rental.

Traffic fines

Processing trafic fines will have an administrative cost of 20.00 euros. This amount does not include the value of the infringement.

Tolls (VIA-VERDE)

The toll service is compulsory when picking up the car. This service costs 5.00 euros per rental. After the end of the rental period, the customer’s card will be charged for all amounts relating to the use of the Via Verde system.

Accidents

In the event of an accident, Nice Rent requires you to contact us. It also requires an accident report to be drawn up, which is attached to the vehicle’s documents. If there is any doubt as to who is responsible for the accident, we suggest that the authorities be called in.
